Baby BTX
Gentle Precision for Natural Results
At ORA Skin Clinic, we perform wrinkle-relaxer treatments with delicacy and precision, always respecting the natural ageing process. Microtox, also known as Baby Botox, is a refined technique involving the precise placement of tiny micro-doses of botulinum toxin into targeted areas of the face. Unlike traditional Botox treatments, which can sometimes result in a frozen or overdone appearance, Baby Botox aims to deliver a softer, more natural rejuvenation while maintaining expression and subtly smoothing wrinkles. Each treatment is bespoke; we carefully assess your individual muscle movement and facial balance to create results that are beautiful, balanced, and undetectable.

A Sprinkle of Wrinkle Relaxer
The Science Behind Botulinum Toxin (Botox)
Baby Botox, also known as Microtox, works by gently and temporarily relaxing the facial muscles responsible for expression lines such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles. By administering micro-doses of botulinum toxin, we achieve precise, controlled muscle modulation. This results in a softening of fine lines while preserving natural movement and expression.
The ORA Difference
Why Microdosing?
Microdosing is ideal for anyone seeking a refreshed, well-rested appearance without the tell-tale signs of treatment. It’s particularly suited to those in their late 20s to late 40s who are beginning to notice fine lines forming or who wish to maintain smooth, healthy skin as part of a preventative approach to ageing.
Because this technique uses micro-doses of botulinum toxin, it is also an excellent option for those new to aesthetic treatments or for clients who have previously felt that traditional Botox made them look too “frozen.” The treatment subtly softens expression lines such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and horizontal forehead lines — while preserving natural facial movement.
At ORA, our philosophy centres on individualised care. Each client’s anatomy, muscle strength, and aesthetic goals are unique, so your Baby Botox treatment will be completely bespoke, ensuring you look refreshed, balanced, and entirely yourself.
ORA Microdosing Benefits
Precise & Tailored
At ORA, every treatment is planned with medical precision. Our microdosing technique uses measured, anatomically guided placement of wrinkle relaxers to enhance expression, not erase it. In contrast, high-volume or “3-for-2” injectable offers often prioritise quantity over precision, leading to less individualised results and a higher risk of over-treatment.
Longterm Natural Results
ORA’s microdosing approach is part of a well-ageing philosophy — supporting natural movement, collagen health, and subtle rejuvenation that evolves beautifully over time. “3-for-2” models tend to promote repeat, high-dose treatments that may compromise natural expression and skin integrity in the long term. At ORA, our goal is always sustained, elegant results that age well with you.
Preserve Muscle Balance
A key advantage of the ORA Microdosing approach is that it preserves the natural balance between facial muscles, helping to prevent the unwanted “compensatory” movements that can occur after more aggressive or high-dose treatments. When wrinkle relaxers are used in large quantities or placed without anatomical precision, untreated muscles may begin to overactivate often leading to new fine lines in nearby areas such as the inner corners of the eyes or along the nose bridge.
Expert Care by Our Medical Team
Prior to treatment, we will cleanse the skin to prepare it for injection. A very fine needle is used to treat meaning there is little to no discomfort. There is usually very little downtime associated with this treatment. Slight redness will last approximately 20 minutes.
We recommend that all clients attend a complimentary review consultation two weeks after their treatment.
At ORA, your safety and results are our top priorities. Led by our experienced Medical Director and supported by a small skilled team of aesthetic Doctors we deliver personalised and expert care to every client.
More Information
The appointment will begin with a thorough facial assessment, which includes treatment planning. Once we have decided on the ideal treatment strategy to achieve the results you want, a very fine needle is used to make small injections, administered with little to no discomfort. There is little to no downtime after the procedure. You will start to see results from 3 days up to 2 weeks after the procedure. We will then check-in with you to ensure a perfect result. Sometimes a minor adjustment is needed to balance everything nicely and because all of our treatments are customised to you, we do recommend that new clients attend a check up visit.
Unfortunately not everyone will be a candidate for injectables. We do not recommend injectables for any pregnant or breastfeeding women. We cannot perform injectables where there is active infection at the injection site or systemically. We urge caution and recommend discussing your suitability in advance if you have any allergies, autoimmune, neuromuscular or underlying medical conditions.
Please ensure that you are feeling fit & well on the day of your treatment. Treatment cannot be performed if you are feeling unwell or have had a recent illness including flu.
We do not recommend having any other skin, beauty or aesthetic treatments in the two weeks before or after your injectable appointment (includes brow treatments).
Please ensure that you are feeling fit & well. Treatment cannot be performed if you are feeling unwell or have had a recent illness including flu. Treatment cannot be performed if you have had recent vaccination (2 weeks).
Nil - Very mild
None. This is an ideal lunchtime treatment. You will have some very small discreet bumps for approximately 20 minutes but otherwise treatment is undetectable.
Initial results are typically seen after 1 week but final results are not seen until 2 weeks post treatment. This is also the time when we recommend that new clients return to the clinic for a complimentary review to evaluate results and make any adjustments.
The effect of wrinkle relaxers is temporary and how long they last depends on the individual client. For most people, the results last between 3-4 months however runners or those who train regularly may metabolise wrinkle relaxers at a faster rate.
Pharmacologically, wrinkle relaxers start to be broken down by the body from week 7-8 post treatment. At this stage, you may notice a gradual increase in muscle activity though you will not be back to baseline until at least week 12-16 (3-4 months).
The good news is that with repeated doses the lines and wrinkles often appear less severe because the muscles being treated are being trained to relax. Wrinkle relaxer treatment is best taken as a course with repeat treatments approximately every 4-6 months. This helps to ensure that results are always progressive and natural.
Dynamic facial lines (e.g. frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines)
Gummy smiles
Lip flip
Teeth grinding
Masseter hypertrophy
Facial Slimming
Neck bands
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the armpits)
Wrinkle relaxers work by blocking the nerve impulse to specific muscles. This reduces the muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form. We can also use wrinkle relaxers to create better facial balance and symmetry as well as reducing the downward pull of certain muscles on the face and neck which can cause us to look sad, angry or tired. The best approach is often to sprinkle a small amount of wrinkle relaxer into various muscles throughout the face to give an overall freshness.
Yes, they can help prevent the formation of new dynamic lines and stop dynamic lines that have already formed from deepening.
The rationale for starting wrinkle relaxer treatment early is to prevent the development of deep lines or wrinkles. The average woman begins to show the early signs of ageing around the age of 28. The first signs of ageing in women tend to be the new lines around the eyes, around the mouth as well as the ‘elevens’ - frown lines between the brows.
We recommend having treatment every 4-6 months. Studies tell us that treatment results last up to 3-4 months however some people find they do not need to return until 5-6 months post treatment. We recommend not letting the deepest lines etch the skin again. This is not to say that your results will remain the same throughout the 3-4 months. It is normal to see an increase in muscle activity at between 6-8 weeks post treatment. A good guide as to when to return is not when your movement increases but when you start to see the lines imprint the skin at rest again.
